Birthday Party & Event Booking Terms and Conditions
Booking Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Deposits secure your chosen date and time and compensate for work turned away once your booking has been accepted.
The only exception is if Creative Face Painting by Louise is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, a full refund of any monies paid will be issued.
Customer Cancellation
If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before the event date, any monies paid beyond the deposit will be refunded.
If you cancel within 14 days of the event date, the deposit remains non-refundable.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the event date, 50% of the total booking fee remains payable.
If you cancel on the day of the event, or after I have already started travelling to the venue, 100% of the agreed booking fee will remain payable.
Changes to Venue, Time or Event Requirements
Any changes to the booking must be agreed in advance.
Changes to the venue, event times, guest numbers or event arrangements may result in additional charges.
Travel
Travel charges may apply for events outside my standard service area and will be agreed at the time of booking.
If I have already travelled to the venue and the event is cancelled, refused, altered or prevented from taking place for reasons beyond my control, the full booking fee remains payable.
Third-Party Suppliers
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that face painting is permitted at the venue and does not conflict with any third-party suppliers, entertainers, venue restrictions or bouncy castle hire conditions.
No refunds or reductions will be given if face painting cannot proceed due to restrictions imposed by a venue, supplier or contractor that were not disclosed prior to booking.
Weather
For outdoor events, a suitable sheltered area must be provided in the event of rain, strong winds or extreme heat.
If suitable shelter is not available and the booking cannot proceed safely, the full booking fee remains payable.
Health and Safety
Face painting will not be carried out on anyone who appears unwell, has an infectious skin condition, open wounds or where it may be unsafe to do so.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Liability
Every care is taken to provide a safe and professional service. However, Creative Face Painting by Louise accepts no responsibility for reactions caused by pre-existing skin conditions, allergies or undisclosed medical conditions.
Acceptance of Terms
By paying a deposit, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
